I have been to Peru four times and every time I am in awe by all the habitat types (desert, rain forest, mountainous, ocean, etc..) It was a real treat to swim with these green sea turtles in the ocean. It was also very interesting to learn about their relationship with the local fishing industry. Learn about the unique paradise that exists for these endangered turtles!

Indeed there exists conflict of perspective when wildlife is being openly fed and engaged with by humans. It is in my belief that ecotourism, if done properly with controlled quantity of visitors, is beneficial for ecosystems. The livelihoods of the locals will be dependent on ensuring that their local ecosystem and all its inhabitants remain viable and healthy.
