Hey there! I'm Koaw, an evolutionary biologist with an immense passion for the creatures interacting in our world. (And fyi, Koaw rhymes with boa.)
Koaw.org, the Koaw Nature YouTube Channel, and the KN Fishing Smarts YouTube Channel are free resources that I've created to help spread knowledge of our natural world and encourage people to get outdoors. Koaw Nature reaches more than 30,000 viewers and readers every month.
Ever since I was a little boy, wandering the coniferous Rocky Mountains of Colorado, I've felt a strong connection with the other organisms of our planet. This connection, along with our current global situation, constantly reminds me of the importance of teaching people about our natural world as well as keeping people fascinated with all that is outdoors.
I believe the only way to achieve a healthy future for our world is to learn about our world. That is what I aim to do with Koaw Nature: Learning and teaching.
I look forward to learning with you!
